The Sun That Warms the World

Yesterday was the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas. Since we belong to a Dominican parish, St. Thomas holds a special place in our heart.

To celebrate his special day we created a sun. In Aeterni Patris, Pope Leo XIII called St Thomas, the sun that warms the world. You can also see a sun blazing on his chest in many pictures of him. So a sun just seemed fitting.

Jacob used a plate to trace the suns outline

Then we traced Alexa's hands for the sun rays

Jacob cut everything out and glued it together. We included a picture of St. Thomas I found on the internet.
