Nana's Macaroni Salad

When I remember my childhood I can recall dishes that are served at every family gathering. My Nana Tilly's Macaroni Salad is one of them. Since Nana Tilly has been gone my Mom has taken on the role of "macaroni salad" maker for the family. Nana's salad is one of my Dad's favorite salads so we had it on Father's Day.

Doesn't it look yummy. It's so easy to make and will be great for your next summer picnic or potluck. I've also created a printable recipe so you can add it to your recipe collection. (This new trick I learned at the Biannual Blogathon I participated in this weekend. Check out my previous post to learn more about it: Kickoff, Day 2, Final)

Nana's Macaroni Salad

1 pound of precooked and cooled pasta (you can choose macaroni, rigatoni or bow tie pasta)
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped celery
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 shakes of celery seed.

 Mix all together and place in refrigerator to chill for at least an hour. Then serve

Variations: Nana would add chopped olives and dill pickles;
Mom sometimes makes it with baby shrimp and Cheyenne pepper.
Enjoy!!

Until next time,
Karri
