Family Fun at the Ball Park

On Sunday we were lucky to be invited to go to The San Francisco Giants vs Oakland A's game in Oakland. This series is traditionally called The Bay Bridge Series as both cities are across the San Francisco Bay from each other. Being Giant's Fans we are always excited to show our colors at the other teams stadium. We apparently were not the only ones with that idea. It was very safe to say that most of the fans were Giants not A's fans for that entire 3 game series.
Sunday was also Jacob's 13th birthday and being the sports family we are a baseball game is the perfect way to celebrate.
When Jacob was a baby we would take him to Giants games all the time. He loved it and would always sit on Jim's lap for all nine innings and watch the game. People would always comment how good he was after the game was over. Alexa has proven to be very different from her brother. She is just to active to sit through a baseball game. We did have a moment when Alexa paid attention. Notice the bottom picture in my collage, the one with my watermark. Check out the pitcher. I know it's hard to see but this guy kept our little Alexa excited for a little while. It's Elmo! Yes Elmo threw out the 1st pitch. Alexa was so excited to see him. Now if he continued to pitch instead of Matt Cain, Alexa probably would have stayed focused but I think Bruce Bochy (the Giants Manager) prefer Cain who recently had a perfect game. The game ended on a sad note for us. The Giants were ahead throughout the entire game. Then in the 9th inning, the A's had a walk-off home run to win the game. So the Giants didn't sweep this series but they did sweep the rival Dodgers in the series earlier this week so we are happy!

Until next time,
Karri
