Are you ready for Fall? - Here's my Fall cleaning list

I absolutely love the fall, in fact fall and spring are my favorite seasons. Now that we are beginning a new season it's time to do some cleaning to prepare. Here is my list of job's I'm hoping to accomplish it the next few weeks. I hope they will kick start your Fall Cleaning List.

Outside:
Clean and store our patio furniture and Alexa's summer toys (especially the sidewalk chalk - learned from experience, chalk and rain don't mix)
Inspect my doors and make sure the weather-stripping it working, if not it's added to Jim's honey-do list.

Inside:
Check all light's throughout the house and replace any blown bulbs. This will probably be added to Jim's honey-do list also since I'm to short to reach most of the outlets.
Vacuum everywhere: this includes moving all the furniture except bookcases to clean underneath everything.
Clean all bedding including mattresses - then turn them front to back and end to end.
Have Jim clean all the carpets (we have a steam cleaner for this job.)
Schedule cleaners to clean our tile and grout in the entry way and our kitchen.
Clean behind the fridge and vacuum the coils; add a new filter for the water dispenser and new box of baking soda in the freezer and fridge.
Clean washing machine and dryer
Schedule to have our furnace cleaned

I'm sure as I start one project I will realize that there is something else that needs to be done around the house so this list will probably continue to grow.
Now tell me what is on your fall cleaning list?

Until next time,
Karri

  1. great list, Karri! I didn't know there are professionals who will clean your tile grout. i will have to check that out b/c I've been doing that job solo and it aint fun and it usually doesn't work anyway.

  2. I need to print this out and put it on my refrigerator! (And then hopefully remember to clean behind it.) Great list. This post would be perfect for my Fall Bucket List link-up. It just opened this weekend and will stay open all month long with features in October. I'd love to have you share this!

  4. Quite a list you have there, Karri. But aren't you forgotten something? Yup, I'm talking about gutter. I used to clean our gutter every fall, and sometimes, during early summer. For my patio, I first remove the entire items on the space, and rinse it with hot water. Then, I mix some solution that I use to clean the patio. I scrub it with stiff brush, and use safe pressure for power cleaning process.
