Days to Treasure in July

We all know that in July we celebrated our countries Independence but did you know that there are also many other special days we can celebrate and treasure.

The month of July is dedicated to:
Hot Dog Month - check out my post for Jacob's birthday and see the hot dog bar we had.
Culinary Arts Month - summer is the perfect time to enjoy cooking with your kids
Blueberry Month - How about some blueberry pancake for breakfast.

In July you can celebrate National Avoid Boredom Week July 15th to July 21st.

July's day events are:
1 - Canada Day
3 - Dog Days
4 - Independence Day
5 - The Anniversary of the Bikini - (I don't plan on celebrating this one, I'm not a bikini kind of girl)
7 - Father-Daughter Take a Walk Together Day
7 - Video Games Day (Sometime I think this day is celebrate everyday in my house.)
12 - The Anniversary of the Etch-A-Sketch
13 - Go West Day (not sure is that mean travel to the west or dress western.)
14 - French Bastille Day
15 - Rembrandt's Birthday
17 - Disneyland's Opening Anniversary
19 - Cow Appreciation Day (maybe we will eat chicken for dinner on that day)
20 - Anniversary of Walk on the Moon
21 - Ernest Hemingway's Birthday
21 - Junk Food Day (another day I sometimes feel is always celebrated in our house.)
24 - Cousins Day
24 - Amelia Earhart's Birthday - (I just heard there is currently an expedition out looking for her plane, so keep watching for any reports)
26 - Bert from Sesame Street's Birthday (This will be celebrated in our house for sure)
27 - Bug's Bunny's Birthday
28 - Beatrix Potter's Birthday Day
30 - Cheesecake Day (This is also Jim's birthday)
31 -  Harry Potter's Birthday (No doubt I'm celebrating this one also. I'm think Harry Potter Marathon at my house)

Enjoy these fun days in July.

Until next time,
Karri

  2. Kari, you make the whole month sound so much fun! I think you should start making printable calendars with your fun facts. (My computer skills are not up to that level but I can print it, if you will make it!) Thanks for sharing at Freedom Fridays!

    1. Evelyn, that's a great idea. I will look into putting one together for August. Thanks so much.
